Orissa, Eastern India, 19th century
Indian manuscript on palm leaves, 140 palm leaves of non-illustrated Brahmanic discourses inscribed in Pali, text on recto and verso, two binding holes per each palm leaf, bound between two polychrome lacquered wooden boards with an interlocking and scrolling vegetal tendril motif, one string missing, 34cm long x 6cm wide x 5.2cm deep.
