A PARCEL-GILT BRONZE STANDING FIGURE OF A DAOIST IMMORTAL
16th/17th century
The standing figure crisply cast with his hands held in front of his chest, the face with a serene expression, wearing a tall hat, his long sleeves finely incised with scrolling patterns and ribbons fastened at the front and back of his robe, a line of inscription at the back of his stand that reads xinguandizi diaohouqian jiachennian zao (commissioned by the devout disciple Diao Houqian in the Jiachen year).
