The beaker, of tapering cylindrical form on a spreading foot, the body with three cartouches housing repoussé figures of Peter the Great, Count Fyodor Matveevich Apraksin and Ivan Ivanovich Buturlin, amongst chased acanthus leaves and above French inscription 'Souvenir d'amitié 20 Avril 1856 8 Mai 1846 de Mr de Gourieff a Péchena', marked under base with the mark of Johannes-Friedrich L'Amoureux, Riga, circa 1770; the sugar bowl, oval, with hinged cover and on four rocaille feet, the body and cover cast and chased with ribbon-tied swags, unrecorded maker's mark Cyrillic 'S.F', Moscow, 1794; the casket, oval, with detachable cover, cast and chased throughout with fruit and foliage, unrecorded maker's mark 'GA', Moscow, circa 1720, with French import marks; the hazarpesche, the niello handle with foliate design and openwork terminal, the handle base with openwork joint with a chased cherub's face, the bowl with repoussé animals and centring an applied deer with protruding cabochon turquoise-set head, Tiflis, 1843
