A PARIS PORCELAIN PART DESERT SERVICE, CIRCA 1790

each piece painted with blue and red cornflowers, comprising:
A pair of ice pails, liners and covers;
One circular salad bowl;
Five oval dishes;
Six square dishes;
Four shell-shaped dishes;
Five circular dishes;
A large circular bowl;
Forty-five plates and two similar en suite;
A pair of preserve stands, each with two fixed bowls and covers;
Two sugar bowls covers and fixed stands;
Two punt-shaped dishes with fixed oval tubs and covers;
Twelve pot-à-jus and covers on footed lobed stands and another cover;
And various similar dessert and teaware, comprising:

Twelve tea cups and saucers;
A footed bowl en suite;
Three sugar bowls and covers in sizes;
Eight coffee cans and six saucers, and eight further coffee cans and saucers similar;
Six tea cups and ten saucers similar;
A ewer and basin en suite;
A seau-a-demi-bouteille;
Three egg cups;
A reeded beaker;
Two circular stands; and
A sugar bowl cover

Condition Report:
The majority of pieces in generally good order, otherwise typical country house condition with some damages repaired with metal rivets and some rubbing to gilding and stacking wear. The main service has additional Paris porcelain wares, some marked for the duc d'Angoulême factory, most date to circa 1800 or slightly later. In detail:
Two ice-pails, covers and liners – One generally good order with small firing crack to the top edge of liner, the other pail has two notable cracks from the rim with signs of old consolidation, the liner with very minor hairline crack form the rim.
Salad bowl – two sections of rim broken in parts and pinned.
Five oval bowls – 3 good order, 1 with minor rim chip, 1 extensively damaged and pinned.
Six square bowls – 2 in good order, 2 with small rim chips, 2 extensively damaged and pinned.
Four shell dishes – generally in good order
Five circular dishes – 3 in good order, 1 with a section of the rim broken in two parts and pinned, another cracked across and in parts to rim and pinned.
A large bowl – good order.
Forty-five plates – 15 generally good; 2 good but with minor crack to footrim, 1 with minor star crack, 10 generally good but with chipping to footrim, 8 minor chipping to rims, 4 faint cracks; 5 noticeable damages and repairs and in some cases losses; two addition plates in good order
Pair of preserve dishes – one stand chipped to rim, one cover repaired to finial, one cover in good order but domed.
Two sugar bowls and covers – one stand chipped to rim.
Two butter tubs – one handle of cover chipped off and missing
Pot-à-jus – 10 covers in good order, 1 with repaired finial, 2 covers damaged, one also with finial missing, 5 cups in good order, 3 cups with firing cracks to foot, 1 chipped to rim, 1 with cracks to rim, 1 with handle lacking and chipping to rim, each footed stand has a rim chip.
Twelve cups and saucers – 7 cups in good order, 4 with handles cracked, 1 with handle part missing, 10 saucers in good order, 2 cracked, slight wear.
Footed bowl – good order
Three sugar bowl and covers – generally good order
Eight coffee-cans and six saucers – 3 cups in good order, 1 cracked, 2 with repaired handles, 2 with handle lacking, 4 saucers in good order, 2 chipped.
Eight coffee-cans and saucers – cans in good order, 3 saucers chipped, 1 cracked, 1 faint crack.
Six teacups and ten saucers – 1 cup in good order, 3 with minor chipping, 1 with repaired section, 1 with handle lacking and cracks, 5 saucers with minor chipping and one cracked.
Ewer & basin – handle of ewer broken and pinned and a rim chip.
Seau-à-bouteille – spreading and stained crack to on side from rim.
Egg cups – 2 with minor chipping, 1 with a section of foot lacking.
Beaker – good order.
Tow stands – one with slight footrim chip.
Cover from sugar bowl – good order
