by James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1894 and John Round & Son Ltd, Sheffield 1905, Fiddle pattern, engraved with initial 'G', dessert service with mother-of-pearl handles and husk-garland engraving, in a fitted oak case with brass handles. (95 pieces) Case 16.8cm high, 47.3cm wide, 32cm deep; table spoons 21.3cm long, table forks 20cm long, 122.5 troy ounces gross (excl. mother-of-pearl handled)

JD&S 12 table forks 1894, 12 dessert forks 1894, 12 dessert spoons 1894, 8 table spoons 1894, 12 fish knife blades 1894, 12 fish fork heads 1894; JR 4 table spoons 1905, 12 m-o-p handled dessert forks 1905, 11 m-o-p handled dessert knives 1905.

Marks clear and well struck to all pieces. One mother-of-pearl handled dessert knife deficient. Also vacant spaces in top tray for table knives, dessert knives and carving set. Ivory handles for fish knives and forks have been removed by vendor. Case lacking key, brass cartouche to cover detached but inside case. Ivorine holders to top tray. Heavy gauge silver, in good condition. Light surface scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
