gouache and gold on paper, inner borders with sections of texts in nasta'liq script excised from the same manuscript of poetry (probably 16th-17th Century) with floral edging and panels, salmon pink outer borders, fanciful inscription in nasta'liq script in one corner of painting of youth with bottle

The spurious note on one painting reads: 'It was copied from the work of his excellency, my master Reza 'Abbasi, the painter, on the eve of Sunday, fourteenth of the month of Shawwal, the year 1088' [10th December 1677] and ends with 'Its writer, Mu'in Musavvir'.
