the rectangular box and flush-fitting and cover with rounded corners and silver rims decorated in gold and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, nashiji and hirame on a fine kinji ground with ferns and bamboo leaves continuing over the sides, the centre with the mon of the Kan'in-no-miya, a branch of the Imperial Family
25.5 cm., 10¾ in. long

Condition Report:
- Very slight surface wear to the cover and slight scratches to the base.
- Otherwise, good condition.
