each finely carved to show scholars and their attendants in rocky mountainous scenes, raised on enameled bronze stand, together with a fitted hardwood box.
Height with stands 8 3/4 in., 22.2 cm.
Property from a Private Chicago Collector Asian Art
Height without stands 7 1/2 in., 19.1 cm. Both parfumiers with later drill holes to base, one parfumier with chip to base, the bodies in good condition; spinach green bases might be later additions, one loose; one cover replacement; both gilt bronze bases in good condition, with wear typical of age
Acquired in Chicago, Illinois between 1968-77 in the sale of an unclaimed Federal Storage locker, thence by descent.
