A Pair of Emanuel Van Gelder Silver Torah Finials, Schoonhoven, Netherlands, 1871 Marks: (lion passant over 2), (deer-EAVG), m 11 x 3-1x2 x 3-1x2 inches (27.9 x 8.9 x 8.9 cm) (each) 629 grams (20.22 troy ounces) The two-tiered rounded hexagonal finials with a globe over a pierced scroll-form foliate crown, the six gilt bells hanging from bell-shaped openings of first tier over a scroll-form foliate band over second tier consisting of slightly larger six bells inside second tier's bell-shaped openings; the second band features scroll forms and foliate motifs raises six large bells, on a glass display stand.
