A Pair of Empire Style Giltwood Mirrors

each of vertical rectangular form, with a molded frame.
Height 48 1/4 x width 27 1/4 inches.
Mirrors are 20th century, probably incorporating 19th century elements. Frames may have age but have been professionally re-gilded in the later 20th century and mounted to heavier late 20th century backings. Plates are old with wear and attractive losses to the mirroring. One frame with two 1 inch chips with exposed gesso at the bottom; scattered minor flakes and minor age cracks.
