each oval and on conforming spreading foot, the foot and rim each with beaded border, with reeded scroll handles, the bodies engraved with a coat-of-arms within foliage and beaded cartouche, the detachable covers with vase-shaped finial and engraved with a crest; Together With two George IV silver sauce-ladles, London, one 1823 and one 1824, Fiddle pattern, engraved with a crest the sauceboats 23.cm wide over handles, total weight 35oz 16dwt, 1,114gr (4) Provenance: The sauceboats: Chiswick Auctions, 31 March 2021, lot 383.

The sauceboats each fully marked underneath. The covers apparently unmarked. The marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There have been repairs where the handle attaches to the body on each. These have left the surface somewhat springy. There are some bruises to the covers, which are each marked with dots. The ladles with some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
