the underside of each lid bearing spurious interlaced Ls mark enclosing letter 'N' over letter 'S' in underglaze blue.

European Furniture & Decorative Arts The pair appear in overall good and ready to place condition. Free from apparent chips, cracks, or breaks. The urns both have minor areas of wear to the cobalt blue and gilt decoration, mostly on the foot of each urn. The gilt bronze handles are somewhat loose but are intact and present. Some minor oxidation to the gilt bronze mounts. One lid with red residue to the underside, not visible when lid in sitting on top of urn. Additional images are available upon request.
