A Pair of Historically Important Nathan Hobbs Silver Beakers, circa 1817, bearing the inscription "The New North Religious Society to Ephraim Eliot Their Treasurer From 1794 to 1817", also bearing the scrolling initials "NGE" and the date "1827". Note: The New North Religious Society was based in Boston, Mass. Another handled cup made by Nathan Hobbs was given to Ephraim Eliot in appreciation for his services as treasurer of the society, with that cup presently residing in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
