A Pair of Italian Painted Fauteuils

each having a Tassinari & Chatel silk-upholstered shield form padded back, padded arms with scroll hand holds and a shaped stuffover seat, raised on square tapering legs.
Height 43 inches.

Moderate worming throughout; scratches, scuffs and chips with small paint losses and exposed gesso. Areas of minor overpainting and re-touched gilt. One seat's upholstery fraying at the edge. Fore-feet with later metal toes. Sturdy and attractive overall. Additional photos available upon request.
