A Pair of Italian Walnut Fauteuils
genoa, circa 1790
each having a caned oval back above a cushion seat within open arms, raised on square tapering legs.
Height 36 inches.
Sturdy, attractive and usable overall. Caning has been replaced but is lightly loose on one chair (still intact). Worming, duller finish on the arms and surface wear consistent with age. One with age separations in the joints of its back. Both with replaced seat blocks and probably older repairs for stability. Additional photos available upon request.
