Property from a Private Chicago Collection European Furniture & Decorative Arts The pair appearing in overall good, stable, and ready to place condition. The gilt bronze is bright and attractive, having only a few minute spots of oxidation. The gilding shows signs of hand-burnishing and is possibly original, but uncertain as it has a bright, even gold color. Minor surface scuffs and scrapes consistent with age and use. Some of the mounts are slightly loose; would benefit from tightening. Additional images are available upon request.
