late 19th/early 20th century
each having a curved crest rail above the padded back and cushion seat within open arms carved to show winged swan necks, raised on foliate carved cabriole legs ending in hoof feet.
Height 36 1/4 inches.
Estimate $1,200-1,800
Each in good, stable, usable condition. Frames with fairly even finish throughout but with light to moderate surface wear (nicks & scratches) consistent with age and use. Some chipping and age splitting to veneer. One back leg with repair. Rubbing to gilt decoration.
Later upholstery intact and tight.
