The gilding is 20th century, but is professionally done and properly burnished. Sturdy and usable, very attractive condition. Faille upholstery is intact and clean; ivory color. Gilded surfaces with scattered minor chips with exposed gesso; scattered faint cracks in the gilded surfaces not affecting the overall patina. Larger chip / gilt loss near the joint at the back of one of the arms.
