Condition Report:
Yellow velvet upholstery with embroidered scenes in excellent condition. The painted and parcel gilded surface decoration with scattered chips, flakes and losses revealing gesso, bole, and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Also with some scattered minor losses to carved elements. With typical small restorations and repairs throughout, one leg with well-disguised repaired break, both frames with old repairs and have been reinforced at joints. With some minor old inactive wormholes. One with old inventory numbers inside frame in black ink, the other with inventory numbers on paper label. Both a very sturdy with fine carving, ready to use.
