Sturdy, usable, professionally conserved condition. The gilding has been professionally re-gilded in the 20th century, and the gray-blue paint has also been lightly "refreshed" in areas throughout. A few worm holes and minor age cracks in the surface decoration / chips at edges, some with small amounts of exposed gesso or wood layer. Seat height 18 1/2 inches. Upholstery intact and high quality; one chair with a few very faint stains on its back.
