Caliber 10.4 mm Swiss Ordnance, No. 4, unpolished, round, triple-rifled barrel, length 84 cm. Single-shot rifle with drop-block action. Manufactured for the Swiss Army. Quadrant sight. Swiss inspection marks. Marked on the left side of the receiver: “Peabody Pat. July 22, 1862 Man’f’d by Providence Tool Co. Prov. R.I.” Original bluing with no signs of wear or storage. Very good walnut stock. Ramrod and socket bayonet with square-edged blade.
