a cake crock with applied lug handles, tooled rim and upper body, with cobalt stenciled Excelsior Works Isaac Hewitt, Jr. Rices Landing, PA., framed by a cobalt line and squiggle at top and bottom.
Height 7 1/2 x diameter 10 1/8 inches.
Condition Report: About 1/2 of left lug missing. The body of the crock with unusual vertical thinning marks perhaps made at the leather dry stage to reduce weight.
