A hand-written note on verso inscribed, “This mirror with carved frame was the property of my great-grand Mother Ann (Morris) Humphreys. B 3.3.1754. D 11.5.1842 wife of Richard Humphreys. Born the Island of Tortola, one of the West Indies Islands. B. 2.13.1750 (old style) D. 2.5.1832, and now belongs to me Mary A. Roberts 5.10.1921.”
