A RARE 1872 MODEL MILONA CARBINE OF NAGANT PRODUCTION WITH BAYONET

Round, rifled, 11 mm cal. barrel at the nozzle (bore clean, visible grooves on the inside), with clutch for the bayonet and foresight, foldaway and adjustable rear sight, various marks including the Liege bench mark and date "1873". Falling block bolt. Marking "EM & L NAGANT A LIEGE" and with mark. The dorsal tang with marking in Greek and wording of the Milena model. In front of the trigger guard, the bolt opening knob. Working mechanics. Smooth, wooden butt and fore-end, the butt side with Greek stamp and date "1873", on the bottom crowned "R". Marked iron mounts. With bayonet (matching? the joint doesn't seem to fit very well) with metal scabbard.

Attached are historical notes collected by the owner, on this rare rifle adopted by the Greek army.
