A rare Indian axe known as a Bhuj. Named after the state capital of Kutch in Gujarat, India. Ornate overlaid gold decorated shaft with a lion figure; heavy blade with inlaid silver scrolls. The repeating rich floral pattern in a Kutch style. Original scabbard with slightly worn velvet. A concealed dagger in the shaft of the weapon.
