A RARE KARLSRUHE MAJOLICA LION CUB EARLY 20TH C
A charming antique majolica statuette made by the Grand Ducal Majolica Factory, Karlsruhe. The lion cub seems a little bewildered, he stands on his still fragile paws. It is beautifully painted in reddish color with green veins, the lion cub breast is painted in white. Marked on the bottom with the coat of arms shield with the Grand-Ducal crown; stamp "Made in Germany"; serial number "1173" and "24".

Condition: Very good, no chips, cracks or hairlines
