A RARE LARGE IRON-RED AND GILT-DECORATED 'PHOENIX-TAIL' VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated on the body with a continuous scene of pavilions in a rocky landscape with a pagoda appearing between the clouds, beneath a band of small panels containing Buddhist emblems on a diaper ground on the shoulder, and a border of stiff leaves on the neck.
