A RARE NEPHRITE AND PEARL NECKLACE, RENE BOIVIN 1911 in 18ct yellow gold, formed of a single polished piece of nephrite jade with applied gold prunus blossom motifs, suspending five graduated tassels set with nephrite beads and drops, punctuated by pearls, all suspended within an elongated box link chain, with a further nephrite bead and pearl drop suspended from the clasp, maker's mark RB, French assay marks, drop 11.2cm, chain 57.0cm, 44.2g. Two nephrite drops have been removed from the outer tassels of the original original design, and for proportionality, a nephrite and pearl segment has been removed from the middle tassel, which now suspends from the clasp.
