A rare silver mounted yatagan
dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Typical, slightly curved, single-edged blade with groove on the back, decorated on both sides with golden rosette, inscriptions and golden floral and geometrical motifs, partially on a dark background. Grip completely covered with silver foil decorated with engravings and chisels in bass-and high-relief. Beautiful, wooden scabbard completely covered with silver foil, richly engraved, embossed and pierced with floral and geometrical motifs. Small restorations. length 75.5 cm.
