A RARE SINDH MAIL AND PLATE ARMOR
Wrought in the distinctive manner of Sindh, with smaller steel plates connected by riveted mail, and embellished with scalloped brass borders. The upper back a series of overlapping lamellae, alternately of steel and brass, likewise with scalloped borders. The mail composed of riveted rings. With its bajubands or armguards wrought en suite of steel with applied pierced and profiled brass, with duffs intact and retained by pins. 16th-17th century. Corrosion, losses to brass. Overall length of armor 48cm/ 18.9". Condition IV
