A RARE SOVIET PORCELAIN LFZ FIGURINE "LADUSHKI"

A Russian Porcelain Factory (LFZ) 1950s/60s figurine depicting a mother and infant playing a popular Soviet game "Ladushki". Modeled by Galina Sergeyevna Stolbova - Soviet sculptor. Galina Sergeyevna was born in 1908 in Glazov, Vyatka province. She entered and graduated from the Art Institute of Industrial Art in Vyatsk (1925) and left for St. Petersburg. In 1937 she graduated The Repin Leningrad Academy of Arts continued to work as a sculptor and worked at the LFZ since 1949. Her teachers were Stolbova A. I. Stolbov, A. T. Matveev and V. A. Sinaisky.
Figurine is marked in blue ink LFZ on the bottom.
