A rare trousse with romantic decorations

dating: 19th Century provenance: France, A knife with single-edged blade and three holes. Bronze grip. A dagger with partially pierced blade, grip portraying a medieval, bronze warrior. Fork decorated en suite. The three elements together in a big, iron scabbard. Front part richly decorated in relief. The first band with a big mask and grotesques. Central part with effigy of a medieval knight in armour, armed with a sword and shield, with heraldic emblem effigying a Pegasus and three lilies. Final segment with two lovers, in relief among grotesques. Chape with a mask. Back with a loop, engraved with rinceaux and with a trophy of drums and flags. height total 39,5 cm.
