A RARE XINGYAO EWER, A WHITE-GLAZED ZHADOU AND A RICE MEASURE JAR
Tang to Yuan Dynasty
The ewer with an ovoid body, short tapering spout and flaring neck, covered in an ivory glaze, the base incised with with the character ying (abundant); the ivory glazed zhadou with compressed globular body rising to a wide flared mouth; the jar unglazed to the exterior and decorated with a combed design below a band of studs, the interior covered in a russet-hued glaze.
The ewer 23cm (9in) high. (3).
