A REGENCY BRASS MOUNTED ROSEWOOD SOFA TABLE, CIRCA 1815, ATTRIBUTED TO JOHN MCLEAN

with flaps to either side above two cedar lined frieze drawers and opposing dummy drawers
71cm high, 153.5cm wide (open), 61cm deep; 28in., 60½in., 24in.

Condition Report:
A smart table in reasonable restored condition. With old repairs to age splits to central section of top, which have now discoloured and would benefit from improvement. Colour to top faded and flaps to sides bowing/warping slightly. One gilt-brass moulding is loose and would benefit from re-fixing. Drawers are cedar lined and one pull handle to dummy drawers is replaced. Minor loses to veneers and banding. Generally with old marks and scratches consistent with age and use.
