KILLADOON HOUSE, PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT IRISH ESTATE

A REGENCY DOUBLE-SIDED BRASS INLAID ROSEWOOD LIBRARY TABLE, CIRCA 1805

the original leather-lined top with Greek-key border and re-entrant corners, above three frieze drawers to each side
76cm. high, 153cm. wide, 98cm. deep; 2ft. 6in., 5ft.¼in., 3ft. 2½in.

Condition Report:
In country house condition. The apparently original leather inset top attractively worn with scuffs and scratches and rubbing to gilt tooled border. Rosewood is faded to one side and generally the table would benefit from a wax. Brass inlay with lifting to banded edge of top although there are two loose sections from this area and further loose sections from the inlay to drawer fronts of one side. Rosewood banded edge to top with repairs and two noticeable losses. Out swept legs with later metal bracket in addition to the original bracket to add further support, and small fracture losses to veneers of one leg and signs of minor worm damage which no longer appears to be active. Brass cappings and castors tarnished. Generally the table as whole would benefit from further conservation.
