(A) REMINGTON MODEL 1889 SIDE BY SIDE HAMMER SHOTGUN
This was the last model hammer gun manufactured by Remington until discontinued in 1909. Standard features include the matted rib barrels displaying the Remington legend and a single bead front sight. The side lock actions each stamped with the Remington legend, dual triggers, a round knob checkered walnut stock, the RA monogramed gutta percha butt plate along with the matching checkered splinter forearm with ebony inset. The barrels are drawn steel and have the manual extractor. All numbers are matching. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is now a smooth, homogenous and crisp patina. Legends are sharp. Checkering is still pronounced but softening.
