A REMINGTON ROLLING BLOCK RIFLE WITH BAYONET, NAGANT PRODUCTION

Round, rifled, 12, 7 mm cal barrel at the nozzle (clean bore, visible groove), with foresight, clutch for the bayonet, foldaway and adjustable rear sight, with markings "EM & L NAGANT" at the base, pontifical mark, various other marks and marks of the Liège test bench. Frame with rolling block bolt with Nagant markings, marks and serial numbers coeval with the barrel. Working mechanics. Wooden butt and fore-end, clearly visible on the right side of the butt side the stamp "CATHOLIQUES BELGES" with date "1868". Iron mounts and ramrod. Some pitting on the outside. Bayonet (length 70 cm.) marked with "S" crowned like the clutch and "A" inside a circle, different serial number from the rifle and complete with scabbard.

Attached are historical notes collected by the owner and information on the marks stamped on the rifle.
