Rising from an acanthus leaf, itself surmounting a lion’s paw, the chubby depiction of Eros or Cupid rests his hands on the leaves, with his hair gathered in a topknot at the top of his head, with small incised wings between his shoulders, 11.8cm high, 17.2cm high, inc mount, Provenance: Property from a private UK collection, acquired prior to 2000 at Phillips, Moscow Road.
