A RUSSIAN EMPIRE/BALTIC BIRCH INLAID ROSEWOOD CENTER TABLE, CIRCA 1820s, the circular top centering a conforming stylized foliate inlaid and petal bordered pendant on ebonized ground, enclosed by radiating book-matched veneers and each with elegant scrolling leafy stems birch inlay, within dark and light alternating rosewood side trim, above a recessed frieze continuing the elegant scrolling stemmed decoration, on a tripartite standard with sides centering recumbent griffons beneath thin curling branches supporting spread-winged birds flanking a two-handled amphora, above a conforming base with similar inlay and raised on a shaped triangular plinth with paw feet.
