A RUSSIAN WURTTENBURG PORCELAIN RIVER YACHT SET
A German-made porcelain hand-painted yacht coffee set made for the Russian River Yacht Club. The set consists of seven coffee cups and saucers, a sugar bowl, a coffee pot, and a creamer. The set is made of fine porcelain featuring a gilt rim. Each piece bears a symbol of theе River Yacht Club with the image of a lifebuoy, ropes with the abbreviation of the name of the organization - "R.Yа.K." (three Cyrillic letters "РЯК") and the pennant surmounted by the Russian Imperial crown. The service was made by the W. Münster manufacturer "C.M. Bauer & Pfeiffer" in the German city of Schorndorf at the beginning of the 20th century, as evidenced by the manufacturer's stamps on the bottom.The type of the manufacturer's mark was used between 1904 and 1934.
