With brightly burnished single-edged blade clipped-back and with false double-edge to the point (minor areas of rust patination and light polishing), the upper edge on each side cut with three series of notches between cusping, ricasso stamped on one side with maker's details, white-metal hilt comprising quillon-block with unusual rounded gadrooned quillons (one with minor damage), horse's head pommel in the round (old repair) above an artilleryman, and coffin-shaped grip with bevelled mother-of-pearl grips secured by six white-metal pins, in original brown leather scabbard (some wear) with two suspension straps
