kangxi period (1662-1722), 17th century
the globular body raised on a spreading foot and surmounted by a flared mouth, the main panel painted with four large roundels, two enclosing Chinese classic scenes Xizhi ai er (Xizhi loving geese) and xie qin fang you (visiting friends with a qin), the other two showing warriors and attendants, interspersed with landscape panels and foliate scrolls.
