A Chinese Export Porcelain platter, depicting a garden scene with a bird on a picturesque rock. Four reserves on the rim, with rouge-de-fer flowers. Bird-and-flower imagery has long been used in Chinese fine and decorative art to create an uplifting, auspicious atmosphere. Condition: Restored to a very high standard. The last picture shows the approximate repair area. This is an extremely rare platter from the Yongzheng period (1723 - 1735) . Length: 38 cm.
