This lot is located in Cincinnati.
American Furniture, Folk & Decorative Arts In overall fine and stable condition. Takes a wind, runs and chimes on the hour, though unsure of the accuracy of the movement. Retain the original finial and a replaced finial. Scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. retains an even and mellow refinished surface. The works and case appear to be original to one another. Shim added to top of the proper left side panel, beneath the saddle board. Age cracks to the case, in particular to the lower left corner of the base, with associated losses to the veneer. Few other visible age cracks throughout. Craquelure to the face, with areas of loss to the calendar ring and other areas of likely touchup. Pendulum feather is replaced. The fretwork and scrolled cornice are likely replaced. Proper right side of the corner previously cracked and reglued at the junction with the corner.
