A Rare Late Gothic Cabinet (‘Stollenschrank’)

Rhineland and Flanders (southern Netherlands) second half of the 15th century, oakwood construction in rectangular design, richly moulded cornice, sides and doors with carved fold motifs, the middle door with carved coat of arms and tracery decor, base with framed wooden planks - the latter probably from the 17th century, c. 115 x 96 x 49 cm, original iron mounts and bar with geometrical openwork, the top with transversal fissure, several notches and heavy signs of use due to age.
