With barrels each signed in capitals along the border engraved sighting flats and chiselled with foliage between, border engraved tangs each decorated with foliage, border engraved rounded locks each signed in capitals chiselled with a monster-head with foliate tail issuing from the mouth of a grotesque mask, a foliated grotesque mask on the tail, cocks chiselled with foliage and each retained by a screw with human mask head, the combs each issuing from a monster-head, chiselled steels, Grenoble walnut full stocks (some expert repairs) each carved in low relief with symmetrical foliage terminating in a monster-head on both sides of the fore-end and barrel tang, chiselled steel mounts comprising side-plates each pierced with scrolling foliage centred on a moustachioed mask between monster-heads, escutcheons en suite, border engraved spurred pommels each decorated with graduated spheres along the spurs and with chiselled moustachioed grotesque mask cap within a decoratively engraved border, trigger-guards lightly engraved with foliage and each with foliate finial, dolphin triggers, turned baluster ramrod-pipes, and later steel-capped wooden ramrods (2)
