each modeled with a joyful expression and a lock-form amulet around the neck, both arms outstretched, one hand supporting a pear-shaped vase, wearing a yellow dudou decorated with peonies, clouds and crane medallions over a pair of loose trousers showing ankles above shoes with upturned toes, standing atop a pierced rectangular base
height 14 in.; 35.6 cm

Condition Report:
Boy with vase on right hand: with restoration to right arm and hand, and the vase possibly replaced. The left forearm restored but hand appears to be original. The back with an area of enamels touched up next to the aperture at the back on the peony medallion. Boy with vase on left hand: with restoration to left forearm and hand, the left arm with overspray covering from the shoulder down to the elbow, with restoration to the left forearm and hand, the vase with neck restored and overspray on the rest of the vase. The bottom of the dudou at the back with an area of restoration, likely covering a small chip or frits. The base with a discolored firing line extending from the front to the back between the legs. Both boys with restoration to the top knots of hair, and overall the surface with areas of enamels touched up, likely concealing flaked enamels or frits. Overall with firing imperfections including some minor fritting along the edges.
