A Rare Rotating Double-barrelled Pin-fire Shotgun by

A matching serial no. 241. Side-by-side heavy Damascus steel rebrowned barrels with smooth shining bores in 18 mm calibre. Frame, lock plates, hammers, butt plate and trigger guard are deeply and profusely carved and engraved with floral and hunting motifs. The lock plates are signed "P. J. LEJEUNE - CHAUMONT/ET Cie A LIEGE". The right side of the frame bears the inscription "LEJEUNE/CHAUMONT & Cie/BREVETE/241". The sliding plate releases barrels to manual turning to the right. The releasing spring to move the sliding plate back is located in front of trigger guard. Well figured walnut stock with deep relief carving. Belgium, Liege circa 1860, length 116 cm. The stock is damaged near the lock Sling swivels missing . Condition 2-
