A Reformed Gothic oak and inlaid writing table, circa 1880, in the manner of Charles Bevan, with two frieze drawers, 76cm high, 122cm wide, 57cm deepProvenance: Berwick House, ShropshireCondition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and useOld chips and splits. With some sun/water damage including to the sides and back. The original edge tooled leather inset with some scratches, scuffs, marks and rubbing.The leg and stretcher joints don't appear loose, but there is some lateral movement when pushed from side to side.Some sections of replacement and losses to veneers including the striped banding to the top edge.Drawer linings with cedar bases.
