A Regency giltwood overmantel wall mirror, circa 1820, of rectangular form, the concave frame with applied sphered, the plates within ebonised slips, 54cm high, 128cm wideCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use,Chips and losses to the gilt surface including to the spheres, also rubbing and wear to the gilt revealing the underlying bole,The frame is described as concave, this the cavetto moulding which is interspersed with the gilt spheres. - please see a photograph of this section to confirm,some bloom and depletions to the plate, however it is still useable for its intended function - the rear is covered by paper, not possible to gauge the originality of any backboardsPlease refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
